OpenAI CEO Sam Altman revealed that users in India have generated more than 1 billion images using ChatGPT Images 2.0 since its launch earlier this year, making India the platform’s largest market for AI image creation.

Some of the biggest trends include AI headshots, anime-style avatars, fashion transformations, fantasy newspaper covers, and cinematic portrait edits. OpenAI says young Indian users are rapidly adopting AI image tools for creativity, storytelling, and online identity.

The details:

  • GitHub Copilot CLI is becoming the default AI-powered coding assistant for internal development across the company.

  • The rollout covers major divisions including Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and Surface hardware teams.
