Welcome back to EmergingTech.
AI is everywhere now but are we actually using it properly at work.
That is exactly why OpenAI is now teaching people how to turn tools into real workflows not just one off prompts.
Let’s dive in.
LATEST IN AI
AI tools are everywhere. OpenAI is teaching people how to use them.
The Three New Courses:
AI Foundations
Covers the essentials of using AI effectively in daily work, including prompting, providing context, reviewing outputs, and responsible AI use.Applied AI Foundations
Teaches users how to turn successful prompts into reliable workflows by selecting the right models, tools, inputs, checkpoints, and human oversight while balancing quality, speed, and cost.Agents and Workflows
Focuses on managing agent-assisted tasks, defining goals, setting boundaries, providing context, and reviewing AI-generated results to build reusable AI workflows.
Built with Industry Partners OpenAI is collaborating with organizations like BCG, Accenture, and BBVA to help companies train employees and integrate AI into everyday operations.
Why It Matters: OpenAI sees AI education as a key part of successful deployment. These courses aim to bridge the gap between simply having access to AI tools and using them effectively at scale, helping organizations transform individual AI usage into repeatable, collaborative workflows.
AI IN DIAGNOSTICS
AI cuts brain tumor diagnosis time from days to minutes

Scientists in Germany built an AI system called Hetairos that can read tumor tissue slides and predict brain and spinal cord tumor types. It can give results in about 12 minutes, compared to around 12 days for traditional lab-based molecular testing. The system has been trained on thousands of patients and can recognize over 100 tumor subtypes.
Feels like one of those “wait… already?” moments where medicine quietly levels up without much noise. It is impressive, but also a bit unsettling how fast something so complex gets compressed into minutes.
Why it matters: The main benefit is speed, which can matter a lot when treatment decisions are urgent. It can also support hospitals that do not have full lab infrastructure or are short on resources. Read more→
Bezos-backed Prometheus raises $12B to build “AI engineer” for the physical world
Prometheus, a physical AI startup co-founded by Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj, has raised $12 billion at a $41 billion valuation. Investors include major names like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock.
The company is building what it calls an “artificial general engineer”, AI designed to automate complex engineering work such as designing jet engines and drug compounds.
Bezos says the goal is to boost productivity, even suggesting AI could shift labor demand so significantly that it leads to “labor scarcity” rather than unemployment. Read more→

OpenAI lets Go Plus Pro and Business users save Codex rate limit resets and use them later giving more control over usage timing.
Google Research reports that dermatology AI tools can help people better understand skin concerns and improve their ability to identify conditions and decide next steps, but stresses that human interpretation remains essential.
SpaceX rose about 6% in premarket after its record Nasdaq debut last week pushed the stock to a $2 trillion valuation despite mixed analyst views on whether the rally is justified.
Anthropic launches Claude Corps, a $150m fellowship program training 1,000 early career fellows to use Claude with nonprofits across the US to expand practical AI deployment in real organizations.
AI models struggle to stay accurate on longer tasks, with a study showing their performance drops sharply as complexity increases.
FROM X
People are teaching robots the chores they’re hoping to retire from.
Creators write a short story, turn it into a director-level storyboard with ChatGPT, generate the frames, and use them as the source of truth for Seedance 2.0.
The result: more cinematic videos with consistent characters, lighting, and camera shots.
